Time to get in shape

When I got home from work tonight, the sunset was such a beautiful hue that I begged my husband to run and grab the camera. We had a mini-photo session with the girls, and got a few adorable pictures of the two of them (when they weren't wiggling so much that the hammock flipped over on them - I wish I'd managed a picture of that!). However, I'm rather disappointed with the pictures of myself. I still haven't lost the baby weight, even though little L is now 10 months old - and the person in the pictures looked completely different than the "me" in my head. Time to get my rear in gear.

So, tomorrow is day 1 of my new fitness regimen. I haven't worked out an specific plans yet, but I am pledging to do SOMETHING every day, be it tennis, jogging, swimming, hiking, biking, etc.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful here tomorrow, so I'm thinking about leaving work early and spending some time kayaking down one of the local rivers. Water levels are a little low at the moment, but no big deal - I'll either get my exercise paddling or pulling the kayak over the rocks in the shallows.

First Post!

Hello out there, cyber world! My name is Kay. I am a 30-year old mother of two adorable little girls. This is my first time blogging, and I hope to get the hang of it quickly. I've been a chronic "lurker" on many different blogs over the past several years and have finally decided to try one of my own.

The hubby just suggested a quick trip to Panera for dinner, so it looks as though I'll have to finish my introduction later...
